In-depth<\/i>\u00a0is a performative installation, activated by two performers, putting into play the\u00a0relationship between the<\/span>\u00a0body, the\u00a0<\/span>screen and their multiple presences.\u00a0The performance<\/span>\u00a0questions<\/span> what remains of us physically when we present\u00a0<\/span>ourselves through communication networks, data flows and technological tools, in<\/span>\u00a0a\u00a0<\/span>desire to reach out,<\/span>\u00a0to <\/span>touch\u00a0or\u00a0to <\/span>be touched\u00a0by others<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Through touch, the performers are questioning the materiality of their bodies, the screens, the cameras, the video and its transformations. On the screens, filter-avatars made of the faces of the two performers are superimposed on their faces via face detection algorithms. The reproduction of visual artifacts on the screens reminds us of their materiality and that of the video <\/span>signals. The distinction between<\/span> the two performers is blurred<\/span>, while making the physical and the virtual strangers to each other.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In the meantime, the performers are evoking strong and transformative memories about death, sex, screens, tactile and kinaesthetic experiences. Words and thoughts that are sometimes difficult to share or formulate out loud, creating a radical intimacy with the audience. While telling these intimate stories, t<\/span>he voices of the performers <\/span>are recorded live, then altered and disseminated in the space until they disintegrate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
