Dolores Bouckaert travaille comme metteur en sc\u00e8ne, auteur, plasticienne, actrice et interpr\u00e8te. En 2000, elle a fait ses d\u00e9buts en tant qu’actrice \u00e0 Victoria (aujourd’hui CAMPO). En 2004, VOORUIT l’a invit\u00e9e pour TwentySomething, un moment charni\u00e8re de sa carri\u00e8re : sa premi\u00e8re cr\u00e9ation, r\u00e9unissant diff\u00e9rentes disciplines. Bouckaert a ensuite mis les autres devant l’objectif, s’est mise \u00e0 la r\u00e9alisation et \u00e0 la mise en sc\u00e8ne. Depuis lors, elle a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 des projets de performance et de film, ainsi que d’art visuel et d’installations.<\/p>\n

Dans son travail, le corps est \u00e0 la fois instrument et objet de recherche. Un th\u00e8me r\u00e9current est la dichotomie entre l’intimit\u00e9 et l’apparence publique. Travail performatif : Thou shalt be healthy <\/i>(2000), In Search of the Ultimate Seduction <\/i>(2002), Dying in style<\/i>(2005), The kindness of Geometry<\/i> (2010) et Deceptive Bodies<\/i> (2014). En tant qu’artiste en r\u00e9sidence au KAAP (2016-2018), elle a r\u00e9cemment cr\u00e9\u00e9 Gallop \u2013 Biography of a Body<\/i>. Alors que Deceptive Bodies se concentre sur la repr\u00e9sentation trompeuse du corps th\u00e9\u00e2tral, Gallop<\/i> se d\u00e9veloppe autour des concepts de soin et de consolation. Bouckaert travaille actuellement sur la recherche \u00e0 long terme The Fragility of Goodness<\/i>.
