How do you prefer to be bitten? is a dance performance that examines the relationship between materiality and spirituality through blood, the body’s sacred liquid. Suspended in acontinuous circularity between life and death, the work reclaims the vampire as an earthbound, erotic, and decolonial figure. What kind of vampire resides in each of us? Can we be both guardians and predators at once?
Through blood-choreographies and South American vampiric imagineries, the piece unfolds within a nocturnal landscape that weaves together expanded film, polyphonic singing and dance.
