Memory of thought

In Memory of thought a figure is sitting like a living caryatid between two heavy blocks. Together with dancer Karolina Wolkowiecka, Merlin Spie created a ‘choreography for two arms’, the only two limbs this figure can really move. This sitting lady doesn’t seem to feel crushed or suppressed in the situation she’s in. She seems to want to focus on the essence of the movements and extract the maximum out of her possibilities.
