LOOM is a choreography for four female performers.
And/ or a video installation.
LOOM questions the appearing/disappearing of the body and introduces a gradual revealing of the body; it’s a move from a barely visible shadow that is occupying the whole performance stage thanks to motion.
Duration of the performance: 30 minutes
And/ or a presentation in loops of the video installation.
"LOOM" shows three large 'boxes' made of hundreds of meters of elastic stretched out over metallic structures, within which the dancers are imprisoned. A faint light emanates from each of them.
Slowly the spectator can see shadows apperaring. First the shadows are fragmented, almost abstract; it is female bodies leaning naked behind the screens that become increasingly visible as the light surrounding them is increasing.
