Proximamente Festival coming up

24.10.2024 – We are excited to announce two performances as part of the Próximamente Festival by KVS, which takes place from November 18 to 23 in Brussels.

In The River and the Devil, Paula Almiron reinterprets the river Desaguadero, once demonized by colonial settlers. Through dance, fiction, and collective storytelling, The River and the Devil explores resilience amidst loss, echoing the fragments of a history that lingers even when a river has disappeared. With a haunting soundscape by Vica Pacheco, the performance asks: what remains when a river dries out?

Building on her previous work, Carolina Mendonça delves into the narratives embedded in our bodies and the potential for self-defense through choreography. Something is Approaching questions how the memories of violence within family structures can be transformed and explores the stories that our muscles hold.
