A site specific performance of a slowly mutating image high in the sky. A striking intervention in public space.
A long red dress, almost touching the ground, loosens tranquily small parts of itself until it fully disappears. It’s a pompous image, but at the same time humble and modest. In it’s offer of beauty it comforts us and distrupts us. Without noticing we are holding still, asking ourselves questions and color the image with our own narratives.
In dialogue with Dolores Bouckaert Wings is custom made to each context. The performances lasts about 90 minutes and can be seen from far distance.
