Vorrei tanto tornare a casa (e che questo volesse anche dire tornare dove sei tu)

Naast het Theater Les Brigittines en tegenover de spoorlijn die de stad in twee snijdt, staat een sociaal appartementsblok. Het telt 11 verdiepingen, 4 liften, 156 appartementen en … een 500-tal bewoners. Samen met hen tovert de Italiaanse kunstenares Anna Rispoli het gebouw om tot een oogverblindende levende architectuur. De installatie werd éénmalig gecreëerd, op de openingsavond van het Kunstenfestivaldesarts 09.
Vorrei tanto tornare a casa nodigt het publiek uit enkele minuten lang de monumentale sociale woningblok Les Visitandines te aanschouwen.
In de performance resoneert deze architectuur samen met Concret PH, een werk die de Griekse componist Iannis Xenakis componeerde voor het Philipspaviljoen op de Wereldtentoonstelling in Brussel in 1985.
De bewoners communiceren met de buitenwereld via het licht in hun appartementen en herzien zo enkele ogeblikken lang hun gewoontes, dit alles binnen de grotere structuur van het gebouw. De notie van huis / thuis wordt in vraag gesteld; de resultaten zijn onvoorspelbaar.
